Avpravah Foundation believes in a holistic approach, that a nation’s true strength lies in the well-being of its women and children. We work to prevent violence, raise awareness, and enable economic and other opportunities for women and children. Through a multi-faceted approach, we address the unique challenges faced by women and children, empowering them to overcome barriers and realize their full potential.
We are committed to fostering environments where women and children can live, learn, and work without fear of harassment or abuse.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that safety and dignity are fundamental human rights, not privileges
An India where every woman and child lives with dignity, security, and equal opportunity. We envision a future where:
Education is a powerful tool for empowerment. We work to break the cycle of poverty by ensuring that every child, especially girls, has access to education.
We work to ensure that women and children have access to essential healthcare services and proper nutrition, particularly in underserved rural areas.
We are committed to creating a safe and protective environment for children, shielding them from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Beyond direct aid, we work to address the root causes of gender inequality by challenging societal norms and advocating for stronger legal frameworks.
Despite the enactment of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, child sexual abuse remains a pervasive issue in India. A significant gap exists in public awareness and professional training, which hinders effective reporting, intervention, and justice delivery.
Avpravah Foundation is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and gender, age, religion, region sensitive environments in schools, homes, colleges, society at large through structured training and awareness initiatives. The Foundation conducts and organises sessions which are designed to empower schools and residents with the knowledge and tools required for full POCSO compliance.
Child sexual abuse is a significant threat to the well-being and development of Indian children. A range of factors exacerbate this issue:
Avapravah Foundation’s training programs adopt an interactive, case-based, and experiential learning approach. The foundation integrates real-life case studies, role plays, and scenario-based discussions to foster active participation and practical understanding. The sessions are tailored to align with organizational culture and the specific needs of diverse employee groups, ensuring impactful learning outcomes.

Domestic violence remains a widespread and devastating issue, with significant underreporting due to social stigma, fear of retaliation, and a lack of awareness regarding available legal and support mechanisms. This project proposes a comprehensive and multi-faceted initiative, “Safe Homes, Strong Communities,” designed to address domestic violence through targeted training, community awareness campaigns, and the establishment of a robust support network. By empowering individuals to recognize, report, and respond to domestic violence, we can work towards breaking the cycle of abuse and fostering safer, more equitable communities.
Domestic violence is a persistent human rights violation with severe physical, psychological, and economic consequences for survivors and their families. Key issues include:
